Hi! I'm Kermit. I'm a 22 year old from Canada. My self-insert is Olsen, and I am the webmaster of this site!

Making this website was my idea after myself and some friends all created our own self inserts for Resident Evil. I thought it would be fun for us to have a space for all of our info about these characters because they are becoming more fleshed out every day and having the ability to keep track of things is always useful. I also have a lot of fun working with HTML/CSS and thought it would be really nice to use my knowlege of it in this way.

I have been into Resident Evil since 2021 when Resident Evil Village came out. The first Resident Evil game that I have played was Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Later in the year I played Resident Evil Village, which I now consider to be my favorite game of all time. I have played it 5 times and have completed many of the challenge trophies.

My favorite Resident Evil character is Ethan Winters. He is the protagonist of RE7 and RE8. He is not going to be included in this self-insert site because he is not involved in the franchise during the time period we chose for our self-inserts to be a part of.

About Creating Olsen:

When creating Olsen, I wanted to create a character that behaves in a way that I do not. I have never made a character that is as mean as Olsen before, though I am not shy about my enjoyment of characters who are. If it wasn't obvious, a lot of inspiration for Olsen comes from the character Herbert West from Re-Animator. It was unintentional at first, then I decided to embrace this by making Olsen morally grey. I have a video of clips from Re-Animator where Herbert is behaving in a way that I think Olsen would behave the same way.

Olsen is morally grey in the same way Herbert is. Deep down, she has a strange fascination with death, and the limits of the human body. And a desire to explore it. This desire manifests when the t-Virus spreads throughout Raccoon City, and Olsen has the opportunity to experiment on the undead through out the police station.
